Teachers and Mentors
With 44 years performing and teaching voice over, Patrick’s experience include jobs ranging from the voice of "Krang" on TV's animated favorite, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" to the audiobook version of "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn." A much sought after teacher, his courses and instructional materials are based on his experience, observations, and the joy in his students’ improvement and success. He has guided more performers into meaningful voice over careers than any teaching in the history of voice over.
I’ve taken several of Pat’s courses this year. Each one has been a big leap forward in getting to better-than-excellent.
“Any teacher who doesn't admit to having favorites is a liar. Lea is a joy and gets it.”
Her varied career says so much about Abby: actor, paleobotanist, narrator. Her intuition and versatility shine in her character work for games and animation, and most recently, with her narration of Mary Roach’s “Grunt”.
“It’s been my great pleasure to work with voice artist Lea Williams. Warm and bright, with sensitivity and depth, Lea’s rich vocals embody subtlety as well as snark. This one is special. Very Special.”
I worked with Lazaro while in the process of narrating Jaime Maristany’s “God From Primitive Times To Monotheism”. Maristany is a “foremost authority on religion”.
Editor, playwright and writer -- in both Spanish and English, Lazaro has published several plays depicting both social and political life and the historical myths of Argentina as well as the rest of the world. When not writing, Lazaro edits a wide range of books and coordinates their audiobook versions.
“Working with Lea was a very engaging experience. We worked together on very complex material and the final result was completely satisfactory. I remain looking forward to new cooperations in the near future!”
A seasoned, award-winning author, Donna enjoys creating a range of characters and then presenting her story from those varied points of view. I narrated her latest work: “Fraccidental Death: An Eco-thriller”; available on www.audible.com. This is the second book in her factually accurate, well researched Water Warriors trilogy. Of my work on this project Donna remarks: “Lea Williams did a remarkable job of bringing the many characters of my novel to life by providing each with a unique and individual 'voice.' She met all deadlines, was a joy to work with, and is highly recommended as a voice talent, for she is talented indeed.”
About Me
I’m a native Californian and recovering beach bunny who has a long personal history with words. I’ve published stories on travel and environmental issues; written segments for a radio environmental news project that was broadcast worldwide; co-developed two TV series that entailed working with several authors and screenwriters on revisions. Back when radio was still fun, I worked at stations in Dallas and Des Moines, where my afternoon-drive show got very high ratings. I started in Dallas because everyone said it was impossible to start in a major market. So I had to. It’s an Irish thing. I have taught every skill level from pre-school to university -- on animals, French, English, and TESOL. That’s a lot of talking! So with my skills and experience, and as an avid reader, narrating audiobooks is a perfect fit. I look forward to continuing to increase my skills in voice over; and to serving authors and publishers very well.
